Antenatal Courses

 

Antenatal Yoga

Gym RichmondThis course is specifically designed to aid ‘mums to be’ throughout their pregnancies and labour. You will learn breathing techniques together with strengthening & flexibility exercises. You may participate in this course from your second trimester right up to your due date. We strongly advise that you have previous experience of attending exercise classes.

 

Antenatal Pilates

As with the antenatal Yoga course, the Pilates method of exercise has been specifically modified to accommodate ‘mums to be’ and their needs. The main focus of this technique strengthens the core and related muscles proven to help during labour and with the physical strains of pregnancy. You may participate in this course from your second trimester right up to your due date. We strongly advise that you have previous experience of attending exercise classes.

 

Postnatal Courses

 

Gym RichmondPostnatal Pilates for Beginners

A must for new mums! Learn how to strengthen all those internal core muscles weakened through pregnancy. The Pilates method is especially designed to promote skeletal realignment, muscular length and tone. All the exercises are modified to help relive all those aches and pains associated with pregnancy. You may attend the course after you 6 week post birth check. Babies up to the age of 6 months are welcome with you.

 

Postnatal Pilates for Improvers

We also run ongoing courses for the ‘newish’ mother to attend as soon as she has completed her first postnatal Pilates course. Designed to bring you to the level required to attend our intermediate classes safely. You may still bring your baby with you up to six months

 

Postnatal Yoga for Beginners

Safe and gentle energising movements designed to promote postnatal recovery & restore muscle tone and strength. Nurture yourself through yoga breathing and relaxation. A supportive, informal & friendly class with space for you and your baby to unwind. Suitable for mothers after their 6 week check & babies up to 6 months.

Pilates Courses

The Pilates Method is designed to improve core stability, muscular strength and flexibility. This technique is also renowned to both help guard against injury and rehabilitate muscular & skeletal imbalances.


Improvers Pilates

This course is designed for those who wish to gain a deeper understanding of Pilates. Participants are given more challenging exercises to promote greater core stability, muscular strength and flexibility.

An introduction to the theory & practice of Yoga specifically designed for complete beginners. An essential requirement for those who wish to attend the various styles of Yoga classes we offer with confidence & understanding.

Iyengar Yoga Foundation

This course is designed for complete beginners to this specific technique and is essential in order to safely move on to other levels. Iyengar Yoga is world renowned for its ability to promote heath on all levels – physical, emotional and spiritual. You will be given clear instructions on how to perform each pose safely and guidance on how to adopt poses to your own body type.

 

Salsa Courses


Gym RichmondSalsa is a great way to get in shape, rekindle the spark in a relationship or simple meet new people. Enjoy yourself whilst learning something new and build confidence in yourself.
